Video demonstration and instructions on how to use the PACER Login:

 

How to Login to Your PACER Account (2 Sets of Instructions for Different Login Options):
1. If you want to login to manage your PACER account (update information, make payments, etc) then you will click or either type or copy-paste into your web browser the following address: https://www.pacer.gov/psco/cgi-bin/psclogin.pl
2. Inside the Login box, type your Login name into the blank text box next to "Login".
3. Directly below, type your password into the blank text box next to "Password".
4. Click the silver "Login" button directly below "Password" in order to finish logging in.

If you want to login to do a case search or review case information, then you will click or either type or copy-paste into your web browser the following address: https://pacer.login.uscourts.gov/cgi-bin/login.pl 2. Within the Login box, type in your Login name into the blank text box next to "PACER Login".
3. Right below that, type your password into the blank text box next to "Password".
4. If you have a Client Code, you have the option of typing it into the third text box next to "Client Code".  This is not mandatory, but it allows you to track groups of transactions.
5. Finally, click the silver "Login" button immediately below the third text box to complete the login process.

 


Instructions for Resetting Login Credentials if You're Still Not Able to Login:
*Note: the first thing to do if you can't login to PACER is to make sure your browser is set up to receive cookies*
1. On either PACER Login page, click the blue "Forgot Your Password?" link located directly under the silver "Cancel" button in the right half of the login box.
2. On the next screen, in the "Forgotten PACER Password Request" box, type in your account id code in the blank text box labeled "Account ID".
3. If you have an email address on record with your PACER account, type it into the blank text box labeled "Email Address".
4. If you don't have an email address linked to your PACER account, type in the phone number that you have on record into the blank text box next to "Phone".
5. If you don't have an email address, click the box to select "Send U.S. Mail" so your login information can be mailed to your physical address.
6. Click the silver "Submit" button.
7. If you entered an email address, check your email inbox for the link to retrieve your password.
